Selva in Val Gardena - Rowi Sculptures
Selva Gardena, situated at an altitude of 1563 meters above sea level, is one of the most famous and popular villages in the entire Alpine region. Nestled between the Sella and Sassolungo massifs, the town of 2,600 inhabitants is situated in the heart of the Dolomites.
The location of Selva is ideal for every enthusiastic winter sportsman. You can reach the most beautiful ski slopes of the Dolomiti Superski ski carousel directly from the village and you can directly enter the Sella Ronda, an absolute must for every skier and snowboarder.
In summer the hotels and holiday boarding houses offer fantastic offers and bike tours on the passes Sella to Val di Fassa and on the Gardena Pass towards Alta Badia. Selva di Val Gardena not only offers you a limitless range of hiking tours and excursions, but also individual last-minute hiking offers for the whole family. The well signposted hiking trails lead you on all altitudes.
For our climbing friends (also for beginners) we recommend the small climbing garden at the entrance of the Langental as well as the famous via ferrata in the Puez Geisler UNESCO National Park.
In Selva Gardena you will find the carving workshop Rowi Sculptures with a large selection of modern as well as traditional woodcarvings. The Rowi Crib, the Leonardo Crib and the Ulrich Crib can be found in various designs and sizes. In the workshop of the wood carvers Robert and Marco you will also find the perfect gift for birthday and name day.
